ZILA PARISHAD Rural Development Cell Dausa (Rajasthan)

Special project under SGSY for development of of Khadi & Village Industries in Dausa.
Govt. of India has sanctioned a Special Project under SGSY vide letter No. 24015/87/2002-SGSY-V dated 24.12.2004 for design Intervention for Development of Khadi and Village Industries in Dausa district in Rajasthan.

Project Area & objective

The project area comprises about forty villages of block Dausa. The spinners and weavers of the above villages shall be benefited under the project. Total 1871 SC families surveyed, out of them 392 have been registered by Khadi Samiti. Rest of 1479 SC families will be benefited in project.

The objective of the project would be to ensure a time bounded programme to facilitate maximum number of BPL to cross the poverty line that is raise their monthly income above Rs. 2000/-, project will provide long term sustainable self employment opportunity by providing support under infrastructure, technology, marketing and training etc.

Cost

The total approved cost of the project of Rs. 3,15,22,000 (Rs. three crore fifteen lakhs and twenty two thousand only) is to be shared by the center and the state Government in the ratio of 75 : 25. The central share is Rs. 114.42 lakhs (Rupees one crore fourteen lakhs and forty two thousand only). The state Government share is Rs. 38.13 lakhs. The Kshetriya Khadi Gramodyog Samiti, Dausa is Rs. 132.67 lakhs and KVIC contribution is Rs. 30.00 lakhs.
